SECC PRESENTS

The Student Educational Video Awards (SEVAs) celebrate the creativity, talent, and voices of student filmmakers throughout the Sacramento region. Each year, students are invited to create and submit original videos that inform, inspire, and entertain. The contest gives young media creators an opportunity to showcase their work, develop valuable production skills, and be recognized at the annual SEVA Awards celebration.

About US
The Sacramento Educational Cable Consortium (SECC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting education through media. We partner with local school districts, educators, students, and community organizations to produce and share educational programming across television, online platforms, and social media.
SECC provides professional video production services, broadcasts educational content on Comcast Channels 15 and 21, and creates opportunities for students to build real-world media skills. Through programs such as the Student Educational Video Awards, training opportunities, grants, and school partnerships, we help strengthen media education and connect students with pathways to future careers.
Our mission is to inform, inspire, and amplify the voices of our region’s educational community through high-quality storytelling and accessible media.
